My name is Kyle Tan, and I’m the creative behind Tanography Studios, based in Bakersfield, California. I specialize in photography and videography with a focus on capturing real moments in a clean, cinematic style. What started as an interest in photography during high school has grown into a business built around documenting people, events, and brands.

I was first introduced to photography in high school, where I learned how to shoot in manual and use editing tools like Photoshop and Lightroom. I’m especially grateful to my photography teacher, Lindsey Arias, who helped build my foundation and understanding of the craft. That early experience played a big role in how I approach my work today.

Over the years, I’ve worked on a range of projects including debuts, quinceañeras, birthdays, weddings, portraits and content for local businesses. My experience covers both video and photography, allowing me to provide complete coverage for clients who want everything captured in a consistent and professional way. Whether I’m filming a highlight video or delivering a full gallery of photos, I focus on making sure each moment is documented clearly and naturally.

My style is centered around simplicity and realism. I aim to capture moments as they happen, without forcing them, and edit in a way that feels natural and timeless. I focus on good lighting, clean composition, and smooth, cinematic footage so that what you receive looks polished but still true to the moment.
